Our New Year's Celebration!
How much fun do you think it is to watch your kids eat so much candy and chocolate that they turn a little pale and start slurring their words? Pretty fun if you ask us and our kids had a blast too. We rang in '09 at our house with family friends - we ate crepes filled with whatever you can think of, covered them in chocolate whipped cream and then poured chocolate sauce on top. Sounds so good even now! The kids then proceeded to watch a "new" release as the adults went in to the basement to become Rockband rock star's. I really love this game and I don't really love any video games- that's for my kids, yes I occasionally enjoy whipping my kids hinny's at Mario Cart, they need to know their place! but I love to sit in my basement with my kids or friends and just belt out some good ol' rock 'n' roll tunes while someone sturms a plastic guitar and beats some phony drums. It is so fun!!! So after rocking out to every one's content we then suggested the kids head downstairs so the adults could play a new Christmas present from M and C which is a game called "Quelph" - I have never laughed so hard- I mean to the point of tears streaming down my face as I held hands with my friend whose husband was "Ba"ing like a goat while my husband had to pretend to be making a documentary about the situation. I am sorry a bad visual for description but I am laughing right now while typing this- such fun. I am not sure this other family will ever come back but memories were made and we had a great time! So here is to having a great time whenever possible and HaPpY nEw YeAr!
