Well whether I was ready or not it has happened- my little Miss is now officially 1 year old. She made it, I made it - WE made it. I can honestly say I was right to prepare myself, I just wasn't ready for it. Is there any parent who can say that they don't wish the kids wouldn't just slow down. I mean I know it s gonna happen and I really do want it to happen but it feels like I am missing so much of it. I am not feeling sad for the years passing, I am excited with each new stage and age and moment- I just want them to happen slower, for me to have the chance to relish and capture each one with a vivid mental shot. So yes she is 1and I handled it well- all is well. We had a cupcake themed party for Little Miss - she is a very picky eater so she didn't eat any of her cupcake but rather a cookie left on her tray from who knows when!! (no from dinner- I am a good mom!)
3 big brothers were so excited to have a party for her (and I think it helped that they got to open her presents for her!)
The spread looked good to me- I mean it is Feb. aren't all the New Year's resolutions long forgotten by now anyway!
I am ever so thankful for my Christams gift- just look at that Cricut created birthday banner!
