Happy Birthday Max!!

How did we go from this? (at 3 weeks)
to this? (10 years old)
I am quite upset to day because I feel cheated... the time has gone too fast! I haven't paid enough attention and now look what happened. I can't remember enough of it... my silly mind has forgotten so much... honestly, how did my first little miracle grow up so fast? Our Maxwell James was born on a Thursday afternoon at 3:19pm he weighed 7 lbs 11 ons and was 21 inches long and as far as I was concerned he was pure perfection- I remember looking at him and just being in awe of this little boy who I instantly would have laid down in front of a bus for. Max is a wonderful kid and he has so many things about him that make him so easy to love. Max loves to help out with Tanner and Ivy (Brody not so much!!), he loves to read and has read like 12 books this past summer, he loves to play with his friends and he is starting to appreciate Cooper more and more, they had such fun this summer riding roller coasters together, he is a great swimmer and loves it, he loves basketball and is looking forward to playing this fall, though he doesn't really enjoy school he does really well in all his subjects but seems to have a knack for Math and spelling... his handwriting could use a little work but you should see his Dad's! I gotta tell you I just think he is such a great kid and while I am sad to realize the first 10 years are past I am so excited to watch to find out who he will become...

That's a lot of candles!

Only 3 girlfriends! but he wouldn't name names!
Ice cream sandwich cake (Thanks Jenna for the idea!)
Looking a little CrAzY about his presents
Max still LOVES LEGO!!! (I love that!)
At first Max said the DSI XL was for kids with fat fingers...but he looks pretty excited to have one!
Dad's proud moment... a Laker fan!!!
Well he said it was a great birthday... yesterday as a family we headed up to West Ed to spend some quality family time ridding water slides!!! It is sooo fun to take the kids and have them play so hard and get along so well. After, we ate at a family fav. Red Robin where the waiters had Max stand on his chair and they sang a birthday tune... he got a little red in the face but you could tell he loved it. So many things to look forward to... in another 10 years we'll be wishing him Happy Birthday in the mission field - Wow! but all that can wait cause I am going to go steal a hug and a goodnight kiss from my little miracle before he won't let me anymore ~sigh~
